Marissa Jones

“My mission was to bring accounting into the modern age through technology, consistency and humanity.”

Marissa launched Logistis in 2014. Logistis was one of the first cloud-based accounting firms in Los Angeles. The antiquated accounting industry had almost completely extinguished her passion for numbers and accountants historical disconnect from the customer experience. Marissa wanted to build a modern, reliable firm that would ensure financial reporting was not lost in the mundane. Marissa wanted to help creative entrepreneurs understand their finances and help bring color to the field of accounting by painting a picture of what their future could be. She thrives off the passion of creative entrepreneurs and loves being able to lead her internal team by bringing in each employee into the tribe with a great deal of care and respect.

Logistis is now branching out into a specialized network of fields. Logistis for Designers and Reconciled for Ecommerce are both thriving firms but Marissa still directly oversees her first baby, Logsitis.

Jordan Mindoro, Sales / Local Tax Expert

Jordan is an OG of Logistis. He started with the company in 2014. He just finished grad school and his CPA exams. 🎉🎉🎉

Jordan is a dog dad and logophile. He is also a master at sales tax, payroll and JE’s. He love Korean food and LOTR on repeat. You can talk to him about topics in Public Finance, or don’t.

 

JR Aversa, Forensic Guru

Detail orientated doesn’t even begin to describe JR. Give her a project and she will always make it cleaner, clearer, and through. This one doesn’t miss a beat and actually enjoys looking for needles in haystacks.

JR relocated to CA from the East Coast for that famous SoCal weather! Outside of being a serious nerdy number cruncher, JR has been a dancer since age 3.  JR has a creative side herself.  She loves to sing/play flute in a band, skate/snowboard, and is a former Derby Doll who enjoy’s interior design and riding her motorcycle when not on the clock.

 

 

Jeremy Niswonger, CPA / Tax Planner

Jeremy Niswonger, principal, is a Certified Public Accountant. He specializes in financial reporting, tax preparation, and tax planning for small businesses and individuals.

He has spent over 15 years helping businesses with bookkeeping, auditing, payroll, taxes and profit maximization. With his over ten years experience in public accounting he has dealt with a wide variety of clients.

He graduated with a bachelors degree in business finance from California State University, Long Beach.  His time spent studying finance, in addition to accounting, has shaped him to be a forward-thinking CPA.

Marissa Jones handpicked Jeremy out of a sea of CPA’s because he shared the same vision for the modern approach and had such a wonderful connection to people that would help clients understand taxes.

 

 

Shana Niswonger, Ultimate QBO Proadvisor

Shana Niswonger, principal, is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor with many certifications including QuickBooks Online, Desktop, and Point of Sale.  She specializes in designing and implementing accounting systems as well as training and consulting for QuickBooks applications.

She graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelors degree in business marketing and is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
